ER 316L

Introducing our premium stainless steel continuous & cut length solid welding wire, ideal for both MIG and TIG welding applications.
CLASSIFICATION : Our product meets the high standards set by AWS/SFA-5.9: ER316L and EN 12072 19 12 3 L, ensuring international quality recognition.
Complies with DIN 8556: WK. 1.4430 for assured quality and reliability.

CHARACTERISTICS :ER316L stands out as an austenitic stainless steel low carbon welding wire, boasting a composition of 18% Cr, 12% Ni, and 2% Mo. This blend ensures the weld metal contains ferrite, greatly enhancing crack resistance. Its low carbon content enhances arc stability in austenitic welding and significantly boosts corrosion resistance, particularly against intergranular types. The excellent mechanical properties further elevate its performance.
APPLICATION : ER 316L is a molybdenum grade wire, perfect for MIG, TIG, and SA welding of similar stainless steels. The inclusion of molybdenum significantly enhances resistance to pitting corrosion, an essential feature in chloride environments. Additionally, the low carbon grades further bolster resistance to intergranular corrosion, making it ideal for welding SS 316L and SS 318 grades. This weld metal excels in high-temperature applications, sustaining performance in environments up to 350°C.
SHIELDING GAS : Optimal welding results achieved with 100% Argon gas or a blend of Argon with 2% Oxygen.
