3. Key Characteristics
Alloy Design: Enhanced with Ni and Mo to improve corrosion resistance, high-temperature wear resistance, and crack prevention (both hot and cold cracks) .
Weldability:
Smooth arc stability, minimal spatter, and excellent slag removal.
Suitable for all-position welding.
Low-Temperature Toughness: Delivers ≥40J impact energy at 0°C after heat treatment.
4. Mechanical Properties
Typical as-welded properties:
Property Value
Tensile Strength ≥760 MPa (up to 875 MPa)
Elongation ≥15% (up to 22%)
Hardness ~312 HBW
5. Primary Applications
Critical Wear/Corrosion Environments:
Hydro turbine runners, blades, and valves.
Pump bodies and industrial valve repair.
Base Materials Compatibility:
ASTM CA6NM cast steel.
0Cr13Ni5Mo, 15Cr13, and similar martensitic stainless steels.
6. Welding Procedures
Preheat/Interpass Temp: 150-260°C to prevent cracking.
Shielding Gas: CO2(purity ≥99.5%) with flow rate >20 L/min.
Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT): Mandatory 610°C × 1 hour to optimize toughness and relieve stress.
Parameters:
Ø1.2 mm: 140-260A, 24-32V
Ø1.6 mm: 200-300A, 27-34V.
7. Safety and Handling
Storage: Bake at 40-50°C for 10-20 minutes before use to reduce moisture.
Surface Prep: Remove oil, rust, and moisture from base metal
