Our extraordinary Stainless Steel Continuous & Cut Length Solid Welding Wire is ideal for MIG and TIG welding applications, offering unparalleled performance.
CLASSIFICATION : AWS/SFA-5.9: ER316L, EN 12072 19 12 3 L - a testament to superior quality and reliability in demanding welding tasks.
DIN 8556: WK. 1.4430 - a hallmark of precision engineering.

CHARACTERISTICS :ER316L is an outstanding austenitic stainless steel low carbon welding wire composed of 18% Cr, 12% Ni, and 2% Mo. Its weld metal features ferrite, offering exceptional crack resistance. The low carbon content enhances arc stability and corrosion resistance, especially of the intergranular type. Notably, the weld metal exhibits excellent mechanical properties, ensuring durability and strength.
APPLICATION : Specifically engineered as an ER 316L molybdenum grade, this wire excels in MIG, TIG, and SA welding of similar stainless steel grades. The molybdenum composition significantly enhances resistance to pitting corrosion, especially in chloride-rich environments. Meanwhile, the low carbon variant further boosts resistance to intergranular corrosion. Perfect for welding SS 316L and SS 318 grades, this weld metal is recommended for high-temperature services up to 350°C, ensuring reliability and longevity.
SHIELDING GAS : Achieve optimal welding performance using 100% Ar gas or a blend of Ar+2%O2 gas.
