CLASSIFICATION :AWS/SFA-5.9: ER309L
CHARACTERISTICS: ER309L is a high-grade austenitic stainless steel welding wire known for its superior resistance to cracking and excellent heat resistance. This product's weld metal comprises ferrite, enhancing its durability and performance under high-temperature conditions.
APPLICATION :The ER 309L welding wire is specifically designed for joining 22%Cr-12%Ni ferritic stainless steel to austenitic stainless steel, capable of withstanding service temperatures up to 300°C. It is ideal for heat-resistant cast steel clad materials, 18% Cr-8% Ni clad steel, and the seamless joining of stainless steel to Cr-Mo or carbon steel.
SHIELDING GAS: Optimal welding results are achieved using 100% Argon gas or a mixture of Argon with 2% Oxygen.
