Description: The E7018 low hydrogen potassium type iron-carbon steel welding electrode offers unmatched versatility with both AC and DC compatibility, making it adept at all-position welding. This electrode promises minimal spatter, effortless slag removal, and an impeccable weld appearance, especially excelling in flat and fillet welding. It boasts excellent mechanical properties and a high deposition efficiency, thanks to its iron-rich coating, which reduces the number of necessary welding layers and enhances productivity. Prior to welding, ensure the workpiece is free of rust, oil, and moisture. Electrode preparation involves baking at around 350 ºC, ensuring it is dry and ready for immediate use.
Uses: Masterfully engineered for critical applications, this electrode is ideally suited for welding ships, boilers, pressure vessels, pipes, and other significant structural components made from the corresponding strength grade steel.
