ERNiCr-3
Introducing our Ni base alloy solid welding wire with exceptional resistance to ductility dip cracking in weld metal. It boosts the weld metal's tensile strength to match or exceed that of the base material, while ensuring superior weldability.
1.Basic Specifications & Composition
Standards Compliance:
AWS A5.14: ERNiCr-3
DIN: SG-NiCr20Nb (Werkstoff Nr. 2.4806)
ISO/BS: SNi6082 / NiCr20Mn3Nb.
Chemical Composition:
Element Content (%) Role
Ni (+Co) ≥67.0 (72.9 typical) Base metal, provides outstanding corrosion resistance
Cr 18.0-22.0 Increases oxidation resistance for greater durability
Nb (+Ta) 2.0-3.0 Mitigates intergranular corrosion through carbide stabilization
Mn 2.5-3.5 Enhances toughness while minimizing hot cracking
Fe ≤3.0 Ensures impurity control for superior weld integrity
C ≤0.10 Reduces carbide precipitation for enhanced performance
S/P ≤0.015/≤0.030 Minimizes brittleness for improved resilience
2. Key Properties
Mechanical Performance:
Tensile Strength: ≥552 MPa (80,000 psi) demonstrating robust durability
Elongation: ≥30% (4d) indicating impressive flexibility and ductility.
High-Temperature Capabilities:
Operating Range: From a frigid -196°C to a scorching +550°C for pressure vessels, withstanding extensive environments. Exhibits oxidation resistance up to 1200°C in sulfur-free settings
Creep Rupture Strength: Outstanding endurance under prolonged thermal stress.
Corrosion Resistance:
Provides excellent resistance to oxidation, stress corrosion cracking, and pitting in harsh acids like sulfuric and phosphoric, as well as urea environments.
3. Welding Applications
Compatible Alloys:
Seamlessly compatible with Nickel Alloys such as INCONEL 600/601/690, INCOLOY 800/800HT/330.
Ideal for Dissimilar Metal Joints
Perfect for joining Nickel alloys ↔ Carbon steel/stainless steel for diverse industrial needs
INCOLOY 330 ↔ MONEL alloys for specialized applications.
Surface Cladding:
Ensures corrosion-resistant overlays on carbon steel components for extended lifespan.
